the world is wild

Finally ready to share this commission for a bride who wanted a pair of etchings for her groom as a gift. I came up with these etchings that sit next to one another to create one pond scene.

Also just finished up one of my many foxes. There's been a little theme going on over here (along with more goats as well!) This guy is leaping through the brush.

I enjoyed some time this weekend to literally just PAINT. Something I haven't done in a long time. I'll have a little sneak of that as soon as it's ready.

Happy summer rain...

Ah Emily! It's like a Christmas present when you make a little blog post! LOVE that pond with the diagonal animals (they feel like totemy/spirits)...the fox is SO wild!

Hi Em,
I love this. You really captured the look of a fox. He looks just like one I saw crossing the road in front of me yesterday. That one had a squirrel in its jaws, but i prefer to ignore the "circle of life" aspect of the local wildlife.
I know what you mean about getting a chance to paint. I haven't had a chance to do that lately.
I hope things are going well for you. I miss seeing you. :-)
